Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center

The FITS Center of Passi City is located at the Executive Assistant Office, Passi City Hall, Passi City, Iloilo. It is a one – stop shop information and technology under the Techno Gabay Program aimed to empower the farmers, processors, traders and entrepreneurs by making information and technology services, closest to them. It provides farmers and researchers fast access to information and technology.

The FITS is a joint project of Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD), the Western Visayas Agricultural Resource Research and Development Consortium (WESVARRDEC), the Department of Agriculture, and Local Government Unit of Passi City. It offers the following services, to wit:

· Promotion & display of Otop Products of Passi City

· Technology training

· Support to enterprise development

· Link to sources of quality planting materials and animal stocks

· Link to other agencies for marketing

c. Selection of Magsasaka Siyentista

A Magsasaka Siyentista is an outstanding farmer who is successful on his/her field. His/her farm serves as demonstration farm, venue for cross visit and he/she will serve as a resource speaker.
