Passi City launched its first ever City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRM) Operations Manual and Its Complementary Emergency Handbook.

July 29, 2011 marked a milestone in the history of Passi City. Two renowned events were conducted. The “Walk for A Beautiful Passi” in the morning is an advocacy in beautifying the city to make it cleaner and greener city.

The Walk for a Beautiful Passi is the starting ground in making Passi City as one of the tourism destination in the Province of Iloilo and in the whole Western Visayas. It was participated by different organizations either private or public and other agencies.

In the afternoon, Passi City also launched the CDRRMC Operations Manual and it complementary Emergency Handbook, the first ever in the Province of Iloilo. The Operations Manual and Emergency Handbook will serve as guide for key people during calamities. The Operations Manual and Emergency handbook aimed for zero-casualties and lesser economic losses.

The launching of Operations Manual and emergency Handbook was graced by big personalities from different key agencies from Regional Directors of DILG, Police, DSWD, and other guests.

The Operations Manual and Emergency Handbook was the fruit of the collaborated effort of CDRRMC Cluster, Planners/members and stakeholders.

Kudos to the individuals who contributed if the formulation of the manual and emergency handbook.Both activities were really deemed successful.
